As more and more organizations begin to rely on data to inform their decision-making processes, the demand for skilled data scientists is only going to increase. The hallmark of the major is the multidisciplinary approach to solving complex problems allowing students to meaningfully participate in and contribute to decision making processes.

A major in data science provides students with a strong foundation in a wide range of important subjects, including statistics, computational thinking, and machine learning. The interdisciplinary approach to learning will give students a well-rounded education that can be applied to a variety of fields and industries, allowing students to meaningfully participate and contribute to decision-making processes.

Studying data science can be a highly rewarding and intellectually stimulating experience. Data science involves using a combination of technical skills, creative problem-solving, and communication skills to extract insights and knowledge from data. The field is constantly evolving as new technologies and methods are developed. This makes studying data science both challenging and exciting, which provides students with a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment.
