MUS 163 - Introduction to Singing


Description
By studying the fundamentals of vocal technique, interpretation, and expressivity in a group setting, students gain confidence and poise not only for singing in front of others but for the rest of their lives. Formal vocal training brings together many facets of a liberal arts education. Singing is an art. Singing is a sport. Singing involves anatomy. The singer IS the instrument and must learn to play the instrument!  Singing is a science. Singing is a mindful practice. It is a meditation. Singing is the expression of our personalities and our true selves.
