CNX 126 - Remembering and Forgetting Slavery Description This course will explore the legacy of slavery in American life, identifying the ways in which slavery has been remembered (and forgotten) across a wide range of cultural forms. Sources will include novels, films, museum exhibits, historic plantations, and the campus report on slavery’s legacy at Franklin & Marshall. This will be a discussion-based class that will emphasize critical reading, clear writing, oral presentation, and scholarly research. Credits: 1
