PHI 229 - Philosophy of Education: Learning and Equality Description Education raises a number of philosophical questions. What is learning and how does it occur? Why should a society educate its citizens? What should a democratic society aim for in educating its citizens? What do we need to learn to live together and participate as citizens in a democratic society? Finally, if education is a good which a society should provide its citizens, what conception of justice, fairness, or equality should guide the provision of that good? Credits: 1
