PBH 251 - Intro to Public Health

Description
An introduction to public health, a field that endeavors to improve the health of the community through community-based action. The history of public health, how to measure community health, communicable diseases, chronic and lifestyle diseases, family health, nutrition and food safety, environmental health, the U.S. national health care system, underserved groups, public health law and ethics, and the future of public health. Same as BIO/PUB/STS 251 .
