MAT 340 - The Mathematics of Finance


Description
A look at some areas of mathematics that are useful in finance. Topics include probability, statistics, differential equations, optimization, and brownian motion. Other math courses treat some of these topics in more depth. The emphasis is on mathematics, although we will encounter some finance concepts such as arbitrage and option pricing formulas.

MAT 229  AND MAT 216
