GOV 310 - American Campaigns and Elections


Description
This course examines the elements of American campaigns and elections, including the legal and structural frameworks within which they operate (e.g., the campaign finance system and the presidential and congressional electoral systems). In addition, factors influencing election outcomes and the various actors who participate in campaigns and elections (e.g., candidates, political parties, interest groups, the media, and voters) will be discussed. Finally, the organization and function of campaigns will be explored.
