GOV 242 - Modern Political Theory


Description
This course examines the political theories of Hobbes, Locke, Rousseau, the Federalist Papers, and Frederick Douglass. We will pay special attention to the question of what the moral limits of the state’s authority over its citizens are, and what recourse is available to citizens when the state transgresses these moral limits
