GOV 230 - International Security


Description
The overarching goal of this class is to introduce you to the major topics and debates within the field and to give you the skills and knowledge to identify and critique the assumptions that are often embedded in discussions about international security. The course begins with the traditional question of why nations fight and whether the nature of war is changing, and then moves through a range of contemporary challenges to security, including nuclear weapons, terrorism, migration, and climate change.
