ECO 310 - Econometrics Description This course is an introduction to statistical analysis of economic data, with a balance of theory, applications and original research. Centered on the theory and practice of the OLS (Ordinary Least Squares) regressor, it emphasizes key aspects such as model selection, variable specification, result analysis, and classical assumptions. Typical departures from its assumptions, such as heteroskedasticity and serial correlation, will also be covered Further subjects can also be included depending on time and student interest. This course also introduces essential skills in data mining, processing, and utilization of R. Prerequisite ECO 100 AND ECO 103 AND (ECO 210 OR MAT 216 OR BOS 250 )
