AFS 342 - Race & Inequality in the U.S.


Description
This course examines the relationship between race and economic inequality in the United States. Topics include government provision of and historical access to public goods, mass incarceration, voter disenfranchisement, health care inequalities, and labor market discrimination. In the second section of the course, we discuss different economic research methodologies and how they can be utilized to investigate questions related to race and inequality. Students work in groups to develop research projects and develop lesson plans based on their research. Same as ECO 342 .
