PSY 350 - Primate Behavior

Description
This course explores the behavior of primates (including humans) in a comparative perspective. We will examine factors shaping behavioral variation within and between primate species, with emphasis on natural history and social behavior. Specific topics include methods for the study of primate behavior, history of primate behavior research, socioecology, foraging, predation, affiliation, aggression, mating, parenting, development, communication, cognition, and conservation. Emphasis will be placed on reading and critiquing primary literature, and on proper scientific writing. Same as BFB 350 .
